This is a highly accountable, technical and
administrative position responsible for supervising procurement staff and managing all
phases of the Port Authoritys purchasing program. Insures that all purchases made by
the various departments are in accordance with purchasing laws and policies adopted by the
Board of Port Commissioners.
The candidate for this position requires professional management and
leadership skills and considerable knowledge of governmental purchasing practices,
principles, methods and procedures.
Bachelors degree from a four year college/ university in Business
Administration, Public Administration or related field and four years of responsible and
progressive experience in government purchasing management or an equivalent combination of
education and experience. Salary $57,767 - $80,746; excellent benefit package.
